Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information across bridalme.io — The Inner Veil, the Journal, and the book page.

Last updated 3 August 2026

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BridalMe Limited (“BridalMe,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, holds, uses, and discloses personal information through bridalme.io, including the Home page, the Journal, and the Book landing page (the “Site”). It's prepared to meet our obligations under the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand).

This policy covers the Site only. It doesn't cover the BridalMe app or any body-scan or measurement data collected once the app and consultation are live — that has its own dedicated policy, prepared separately for the app.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of personal information as described here, alongside our Terms & Conditions.

2. Personal information we collect

Information you give us directly: when you join The Inner Veil, you give us your first name, last name, email address, mobile number, wedding date (or an indication it isn't set yet), and country. If you email us directly, we collect whatever you choose to include in that message.

Information collected automatically: like most websites, the Site automatically collects some technical information when you visit — your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you view — usually via cookies and similar technologies (see clause 4).

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information to: send you the free chapter and Dress Clarity Worksheet if you join The Inner Veil; keep you posted by email on how the BridalMe app build is progressing, the features it will launch with, and when it's expected to become available; contact you for administrative or account-related purposes (for example, to verify a signup) — never to send marketing texts or calls; operate, maintain, and improve the Site; measure and improve our advertising; and respond to enquiries at support@bridalme.io.

We don't use personal information to make any automated decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

4. Cookies and advertising technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential/functional purposes (provided by our website platform, Squarespace), and may use them for advertising and measurement — for example, technologies such as the Meta Pixel and Pinterest tag, which help us understand how effective our advertising is and reach people likely to be interested in BridalMe.

Where these advertising technologies are in use, they may share limited technical information about your visit — such as your IP address and browser type, and, where you've provided it, a hashed, non-readable version of your email address — directly with Meta and Pinterest for advertising measurement.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning cookies off may affect how parts of the Site work.

5. Disclosure of personal information

We share personal information with service providers who help us run the Site and communicate with you: our email service provider, MailerLite, to send Inner Veil communications; our website host, Squarespace; and Meta and Pinterest, for the advertising purposes described in clause 4.

We don't sell personal information to third parties. If you buy the book, that purchase happens entirely on Amazon under Amazon's own privacy notice — we don't receive your Amazon order or payment details.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, including our email platform and advertising partners, may store or process personal information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to keep your information protected consistently with the Privacy Act 2020.

7. Data retention

We keep your Inner Veil information for as long as you remain subscribed, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner. If you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal record — your email address and the date you unsubscribed — to make sure we don't contact you again.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy, ask us to correct it if it's wrong, and ask us to stop using your information for direct marketing at any time. Email support@bridalme.io to exercise any of these rights.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to New Zealand's Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz, 0800 803 909), or, depending on where you live, your own country's data protection authority.

10. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults planning a wedding. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at support@bridalme.io and we'll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as BridalMe develops — particularly as Phase 1 consultations and Phase 2 made-to-measure gowns go live, and once the app launches with its own dedicated policy for body-scan data. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.

12. Contact us
